jun isashiki
»daiya no a
riseballmedals
Ace pitcher for Japan's Women's Softball team. Jun played men's baseball through high school and changed sports after her transition. Jun is co-captain of the squad, and well known for her fastball's power, her hitting abilities - and her foul mouth.

kumi 'kuumin' nagasako
»baggataway
[firsthome]medals
Starting 1H for the Japan's Women's Lacrosse team. Kuumin is an airhead off the field, but on it she's a precise scorer and passer. Kuumin likes martians and the sound of sports being played.

tsubasa ono

[cheerband]medals
Trumpet for Japan's marching band. Tsubasa's fiancee is Daisuke Yamada, a catcher for the Fighters in the NPB. Tsubasa herself is a hard working and friendly team member who only picked up trumpet in high school, but she's thrived, and has developed to pick up things quickly.

chinatsu 'chii' hiyama
»welcome to the ballroom
[backleader]medals
Chinatsu is half of one of Japan's highest ranking dance pairs. Chii is friendly and graceful, very obviously a dancer, but she hasn't quite grown out of her starry-eyed impression of athletes from other, more mainstream sports.

shinji kanemaru
»daiya no a
[nannying]medals
Kanemaru is the leader of a young, rising dance pair for Japan. He and his partner, Sawamura, don't seem much like dancers off the floor - Sawamura trips over her own feet when she gets too worked up, and between Kanemaru's somewhat tetchy demeanor and his penchant for Queen t-shirts he seems like a salary man with a gym membership - but they've been earmarked as a young pair to watch.

shinji kanemaru
»daiya no a
[nannying]medals
Medical staff for Team Japan. Dr. Kanemaru graduated from an excellent accelerated degree program in Tokyo, focusing in sport medicine and pediatrics, but the former is what brought him to Team Japan's staff. Kanemaru is nominally attached to the baseball team to keep an eye on their more accident-prone members, but he has and will treat anyone in the center.

kazuya miyuki
»daiya no a
[pickoffs]medals
Ten years ago, Miyuki was a baseball player with a promising career ahead of him when irresponsibility on his and his coach's parts lead to enough damage to his previously damaged ACL he's lucky he can walk without a limp. These days, Miyuki is a senior reporter for the Shikoku Times. He's a really irritating reporter, but he writes interesting articles without exaggerating... much, anyway.

[pickoffs]medals
Usual starting catcher for Samurai Japan. Miyuki is a charming media menace who loves leading reporters around by the nose as much as he loves leading batters around by the nose. Miyuki plays for the Hiroshima Carp, and is popular with kids. He's still irritating as hell to everyone else he knows, though. (Some things never change, much like his horrendous hat etiquette.)

[★]

masamune hongo
»daiya no a
[snowline]medals
The pitcher known as "the Hulk of the North" has come down the mountain. Masamune is the ace of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, and one of the main starting pitchers for Samurai Japan. Masamune lives with rival ace Satoru Furuya. The rumors say it's more than that, and while it's true, they're both keeping it private from the media. He's a bad-tempered bookworm who likes being left alone.

rei takashima
»daiya no a
[reicruter]medals
Rei Takashima left behind a career as a high school scout and teacher, several years ago, to take a position in the NPB. She has since moved to Samurai Japan's main office, where she serves primarily as a scout, recruiter and analyst, but also assists with the media. Rei has been involved with Samurai Japan's head coach, Maria Momoe, for several years, though the matter is kept fairly private.
